Job Purpose:

You will be responsible for all accounting transactions (payable, receivable, payroll and General Ledger entries). Understanding more about BRANTU and the industry is key to ensuring seamless, compliant and accurate accounting operations and records across the company. Your success in this area is key to accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Review, record and document all accounting transactions in compliance with BRANTU’s financial policies and procedures
• Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and ensure booking prior to payment processing by treasury
• Book all related service costs on an accrual basis
• Record revenue and COGS bookings
• Prepare VAT report for filing
• Assist Senior accountant to ensure timely month-end closing
• Assist Senior accountant during cycle counts
• Assist Senior account in Balance reconciliation with ERP system
• Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately
• Issue WHT Vouchers & prepare reports for filling purposes
• Assist in support of external audit, including preparation of audit requests and ongoing support
• Coordinate with cross-functional partners to facilitate streamlined processes
• Support senior staff members in completing special projects, ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests and other tasks as assigned
• Obtain Vendor balance confirmations and verify balances when required

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s Degree holder in Accounting
• 3-5 years of experience demonstrated across AP, AR and GL
• Previous work experience in e-commerce and/or consumer retail industries is prioritized
• Experience working with accounting Systems and ERPs is a plus (QuickBooks or a similar accounting software)
• Must be detail oriented, able to solve problems and multitask
• Understanding of EAS is a must & General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is a plus
• Advanced knowledge of MS office
